Coronavirus Update 12th May 2020

After the governments announcement on Sunday 10th May we wanted to clarify our current trading policy.
As per the government guidelines our shop will remain closed until further notice, we are non-essential retail.
This is the Governments statement for opening non-essential retail:
Opening non-essential retail when and where it is safe to do so, and subject to those retailers being able to follow the new COVID-19 Secure guidelines. The intention is for this to happen in phases from 1 June; the Government will issue further guidance shortly on the approach that will be taken to phasing, including which businesses will be covered in each phase and the time frames involved.

We are constantly monitoring the government information. At this stage we will not be opening before the 1st June and will review the situation after the governments next announcement planned for the 1st June.
The health of our customers and team is our number one priority. When we are able and feel it safe to open our shop we will do so. We will have in place some safety measures. As of today our thoughts are as follows:
These are to protect staff and customers.
We will manage entry into the store, only allowing a limited number of people into our store at any given time.
Customers and staff with symptoms will be asked not to enter the store.
Customers will need to sanitize their hands before entering the building.
Always maintain 2 metre distance from other people.
Face coverings are not compulsory, however we would request that customers wear a face covering. A face covering is not the same as the surgical masks or respirators. As long as it is something that covers your mouth and nose this is acceptable.
Once the Governments COVID-19 Secure guidelines are produced we will look at them and follow any necessary safety procedures.

We can still take orders via our online shop 24/7 and telephone (01723 859545).
Our telephone lines will be open:
Monday - Friday from 9am - 5pm
Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holidays Closed
Out of these hours you can either leave a message on our answer phone or send us an email (info@snaintonwoodworking.com)
We will get back to you as soon as we possibly can.

Delivery
We will work hard to get all orders placed before 2pm dispatched on the same day.
Please be aware this also affects couriers who are working extremely hard in challenging circumstances, there may be delays to your delivery.
To ensure the safety of ourselves and our couriers they are collecting from us in a designated safe place to ensure we have no contact with each other.

Collections
Collections are for logs and charcoal only, this can be done by prior arrangement. Please phone (01723 859545) so we can confirm a date and time for collection.
To ensure the safety of yourselves and our staff you will collect from a designated area to ensure no contact. We ask that you adhere to the requests of our team for us all to remain as safe as possible.
Payment needs to be made prior to collection by card or PayPal.This is to help with less contact.
